游家兴，厦门大学澳门十大电子正规游戏网站教授、博士生导师，厦门大学澳门十大电子正规游戏网站企业管理博士，北京大学光华澳门十大电子正规游戏网站会计系博士后，美国霍普金斯大学Carey商学院访问学者，多项人才计划入选者，会计领域国际知名刊物British Accounting Review副主编。近年来已在Review of Financial Studies、Review of Finance、Auditing: A Journal of Practice and Theory、Journal of Corporate Finance、Journal of Banking and Finance、《经济研究》、《经济学（季刊）》、《管理科学学报》、《金融研究》、《统计研究》、《会计研究》、《数量经济技术经济研究》、《中国工业经济》等重要学术刊物上发表论文60多篇。主要研究方向：公司财务、公司治理、资产定价。研究成果获2014 MIT Asia Conference （美国麻省理工学院亚洲年会）最佳论文奖、Review of Finance 2021年度最佳论文奖（Pagano and Zechner Award）、福建省社会科学优秀成果一、二等奖、教育部高校科研优秀成果三等奖、全国统计优秀科研成果二等奖、全国税务系统优秀科研成果二等奖等多项奖励。

活动简介：

The study examines the impact of environmental protest on the firms’ levels of GHG emissions. Using a difference-in-differences research design, our results show that environmental protest leads to a decrease in companies’ greenhouse gas emissions. The channel tests show that the environmental protest stimulates companies’ change of their internal governance infrastructure such as the establishment of the environmental committee and the setting of the climate-related targets. The cross-sectional analyses reveal that companies with more gender-diverse and independent boards and higher environmental and social reputation risk, operating in regions with higher press freedom, stronger law enforcement and less corrupted government experience a steeper decline in GHG emissions following the environmental protest. Our findings suggest that environmental protest, as a type of environmental activism, serve as powerful catalysts for corporate change and sustainable development.
